It was getting colder and colder at night (most of Iran is above 1000m) and we were looking forward to the warmth at the Persian Gulf. On the way there we stayed in a palm canyon at the edge of the desert (Keshit), visited an abandoned town (Rayen) and then the city on the Gulf (Bandar Abbas) greeted us with almost tropical temperatures.
