Shiraz and Persepolis [29.Nov -5.Dez]

After Qeshm we knew that it would get cold and that the comfortable camping days would be over. Nonetheless we had a bunch of culture ahead of us. First there was Shiraz, a city with sights galore. Among them is the Pink Mosque, also unofficially called the Chinese Mosque by the locals because of the attractiveness of the colourful reflections of the windows on the floor.

Persepolis was next, impressive millennia old ruins in the middle of nowhere. Margit couldn’t get enough of the well preserved frescoes.
