After our detours into the Kavir Desert we were looking forward to the other Iranian desert – the Lut. After three days driving from Yazd we parked between the Kaluts, striking rock formations on the western side of the Lut, waiting for our former travelling companion Remo to join us for some deeper excursions into the desert. The following day we made it to the mighty Yallan dunes, where I managed to get bogged down in soft sand for the first time. A bit of digging and letting out air did the job and we spent two very quiet days at the edge of the dunes.

ich wollte so nah wie möglich an den Salzsee. Der Rand wurde plötzlich so weich, dass ich knietief ei gesunken bin und durch die Salzkruste meine Füsse aufgeschnitten hab
