From Song Köl to Osh [21-28 August]

At lake Son Köl we were immediately reminded of Mongolia. There were yurts all around the lake and at our camping spot we were constantly visited by cows, horses, sheep, goats and the occasional shepherd. Here we were also invited to a yurt and I could taste fermented mare’s milk for the first time – not too bad!
From Son Köl we continued collecting mountain passes. I don’t know how many we crossed in the following days on our way to Osh (five? seven?), but the scenery was almost always astounding and rewarding.
